Prepare
There are many logistics and details that go into helping your loved one arrive safely at their destination. And we think of everything. Our extensive planning phase leaves no stone unturned and absolutely nothing to chance.
Talk to your loved one about their needs and preferences. What is important to them in a long-term care facility? What kind of care do they need? What amenities are important to them?
Once your loved one has moved into the long-term care facility, be sure to visit them regularly and help them adjust to the new environment. Offer them support and encouragement.
Communicate
We will keep you up to speed at every phase of travel and with every development.
The last thing you need to worry about during travel is wondering what is going on. Everything from delayed flights to relevant health updates are sent to you regularly throughout the trip.
And of course, if you need to get ahold of us for any reason, we are available by phone on the ground and via wifi-enabled devices while in the air.
Execute
When it comes time to travel, we monitor the vitals and health of your loved one the entire time. Since you would make sure your loved one is safe, comfortable, and happy, we bring the same level of attentiveness as you would.
Make sure your loved one has a comfortable and supportive environment. This includes providing them with familiar belongings and helping them to connect with other residents and staff.
Be patient and understanding. It may take some time for your loved one to adjust to their new surroundings.
